In addition to bringing a passion for Ben &amp Jerry’s legen-dairy (see what we did there?) three-part mission the role US Digital Marketing Manager is intended to oversee, protect, and advance Ben &amp Jerry’s best in class digital marketing efforts in support of Ben &amp Jerry’s US Business. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Tantalizingly delicious paid advertising campaigns
  • Creation of the chunkiest, swirliest, digital and social assets

Role Overview

A successful US Digital Marketing Manager will forge strong working relationships with the broader Ben &amp Jerry’s go-to-market team. This will require strong alignment and coordination with the US Integrated Marketing team, but also includes Brand Operations, Communications, Retail, Creative, Social Mission, and Web teams in order to effectively deliver against key business objectives. In addition to cross-functional internal relationships, the US Digital Marketing Manager will build and maintain strong working relationships with key agency partners including but not limited to media and creative agencies.


The US Digital Marketing Manager will operate from within the broader Digital Marketing team and partner with their team members to drive effective annual programs, foster innovation, and partner on rolling out marketing technology solutions all in order to ensure that digital is the driving force of US consumer marketing activities delivering on the annual JTBD. This partnership should also seek to use the size and scale of the US business to inform wider digital strategies beyond the US.


The US Digital Marketing Manager will balance a data driven mindset with a scrappy and creative approach to bring to life the world’s most iconic ice cream brand. Through leaning into an always on testing and learning focus they will maintain sharp and cutting-edge digital executions that resonate within culture.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver omni-channel digital experiences against broader company strategies to achieve product, social mission, and fan-facing initiative objectives through tight collaboration with the broader team

  • Oversee the execution of brand advertising campaigns to deliver best-in-class ROIs including the creation of media plans, spec sheets, billing, and project timelines. Help ensure that campaign deliverables are on time and on budget in partnership with media agency

  • Lead creation of annual US digital strategy

  • Lead creative development for new product campaigns to align with media plans, web, communications, and digital commerce needs

  • Coordinate comms priorities between brand, creative, media and agency teams to ensure cross-functional alignment and effective digital programs

  • Collaborate with Retail Scoop Shop Marketing team to ensure sound digital strategies and execution for priority campaigns including creation of marketing assets and alignment of communication priorities

  • Collaborate with key third party vendors and agencies (including digital, content, promotions agencies) to execute projects across all digital channels including briefing, negotiation, timeline management, budget management and project delivery

  • Support holistic brand storytelling through cross-channel (social, .com, email, SMS etc) content ecosystem to deliver on the multifaceted experience of Ben &amp Jerry’s through oversight of always on content publishing. This includes development and distribution of all content on brand owned channels in collaboration with content manager. This includes social media calendar, posting cadence, and relevant analytics.

  • Collaborate with broader Digital Marketing and Web team to ensure US needs are prioritized, supported, and rolled out effectively across all key pillars of marketing technology footprint including benjerry.com, CRM, SEO, path to purchase solutions.

  • Monitor and report on day-to-day key digital metrics across all channels including ongoing and ad hoc reporting needs in order to optimize campaigns and drive savings in the form of efficiency. Lead the development of holistic reporting and insights for digital campaign work, and input into cross-functional market recaps as needed.

  • Support with integrated marketing and communications departments to amplify experiential experiences including events &amp sponsorships, product launch moments, and other on-the-ground brand activations

  • Liaison with Legal and Data Security teams as needed to deliver projects

  • Partner with Global Digital team to ensure robust development of Innovation Roadmap anchored in US Digital execution.

  • Partner with internal marketing insights team to ensure all campaigns, creative, and activations align with known market research and insights.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in relevant subject or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 4– 6 years in digital marketing role with demonstrated success of managing development of digital campaigns. Experience managing agencies and vendors – experience in fast turn and large-scale content development a plus

  • Expert in digital and social media platforms and technology

  • Demonstrated understanding and experience in web development, digital commerce, SEO/SEM, Search, and analytics.

  • Solid knowledge of Social Media Platforms (Meta properties, TikTok, X, Snapchat etc.

  • Excellent project management skills and initiative are required.

  • Ability to manage projects through complex stakeholder environments and competing priorities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must be flexible in high stress situations and be able to effectively trouble shoot.

  • Must be able to work independently, to accomplish multiple tasks with limited direct supervision.

  • Demonstrated understanding of company mission, goals and objectives.

  • Understanding and appreciation for agile working styles to meet evolving needs

  • Experience working in values-led organizations preferred


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Occasionally required to lift up to 50 lbs.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Travel expected for this position is approximately 20% of the time, but varies seasonally.


Pay:
The pay range for this position is $84,400 to $126,600. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.

Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
