Job Description :

The Talent Management Business Partner is responsible for continuous diagnosis, action planning, implementation, and evaluation in the following key areas:

  • Leadership and employee development programs and strategies
  • Onboarding, leader integration, and teambuilding
  • Talent identification and succession planning
  • Organizational effectiveness interventions
  • Employee and team engagement

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support, develop, and implement company-wide talent management initiatives to include (but not limited to) leadership and employee development programs, talent identification and reviews, mentoring, teambuilding, assessments, and succession planning.
  • Support integrated career and leadership development programming and initiatives with Southern Company
  • Handle all aspects of New Supervisor Leadership Development Training, Key Leaders Development Program, and the High Potential Leadership Development Program
  • Serve as INPO course nomination and process lead for Southern Nuclear.
  • Coordinate the Birmingham Site People Health Committee and support Talent Management Review Meetings
  • Assess, identify, and implement continuous training for all levels of leadership.
  • Assist in identifying, implementing, and overseeing leadership and team assessment strategies for effective teambuilding and to inform selections and succession planning.
  • Support Birmingham and fleetwide succession planning efforts.
  • Onboard new employees.
  • Consult with leaders moving into new roles as needed.
  • Benchmark, recommend, and offer best practices (both internally and externally) in support of talent management deliverables.
  • Deliver surveys, supporting data, analytics, and reports on talent management initiatives and outcomes to drive and influence program design and delivery. Manage qualifications and courses in Learning Management System and Learning Source.
  • Support and oversee execution of the SNC Talent Strategy and Talent Management guidelines.
  • Support Industry Groups and Diversity, Equity &amp Inclusion efforts.
  • Partner with site Talent Management Business Partners in driving talent development into core business at all sites.

Essential Knowledge/Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource, Education, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of five years Talent Management / career / leadership development experience is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to successfully design curriculum, handle succession planning, and promote best practices in leadership and talent development.
  • Knowledge of organizational effectiveness, management, and leadership development principles.
  • Strong consulting, curriculum development, facilitation, and project management experience.
  • Strong critical thinking skills, problem solving skills, and the ability to use analytics to identify trends and implications relevant to talent management. Demonstrated ability to analyze data, convert data into meaningful intelligence, and develop programs/recommendations based on findings. Experience in Learning Management Systems preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize, and manage concurrent projects. Ability to organize data.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with peers and internal customers at all levels.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
