Job Description Summary: PayPal’s Corporate Sustainability &amp Impact (CS&ampI) team partners across the organization to drive the management and disclosure of non-financial risks and opportunities that impact our employees, our society, our planet, and our business, and regularly engages with internal and external stakeholders globally to advance this important work. The team’s efforts are aligned with PayPal’s mission, vision, and values and directly contribute to ensuring the company continues to nurture an inclusive culture and remains a responsible corporate citizen. The CS&ampI Team is part of PayPal’s Finance department, but works closely with dozens of functions across the organization.

Job Description:

As a CS&ampI Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to progress the company’s CS&ampI strategy by collaborating with members of PayPal’s cross-functional CS&ampI community on priority projects, innovating to embed ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) considerations across PayPal programs and functions, and promoting the regular communication and reporting of our global activities to drive both positive impact and long-term business success. Among the projects will be managing the data and content of the Global Impact Report, leading ESG investor survey responses and supporting the integration of an enterprise-wide non-financial data management platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end process of creating and publishing PayPal’s annual Global Impact Report and associated materials, to educate employees, investors, partners, regulators, customers, and other stakeholders about PayPal’s CS&ampI progress and performance. Manage timeline, data collection and validation, content development including writing select sections of the report, assurance coordination, leadership review process, and communication plan.
  • Support the integration of an enterprise-wide platform to effectively manage non-financial data (e.g., greenhouse gas emissions, HR metrics) and implement best practices in data management in coordination with various business functions, including Finance, Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Information Technology.
  • Engage in PayPal’s cross-functional CS&ampI governance bodies and support programmatic enhancements, impact measurement, corporate benchmarking, and opportunities for collaboration with key internal partners, such as Social Innovation, Human Resources, Information Security on activities related to material CS&ampI topics, including climate change, human rights, diversity and inclusion, cybersecurity, financial health, and product innovation.
  • Complete annual survey submissions to third-party rankings and recognitions (including Just Capital, S&ampP Global, and FTSE) and rating agencies (including MSCI, CDP, Sustainalytics, and ISS), and evaluate historical performance to identify emerging trends and enhancement opportunities.
  • Provide general project management support to CS&ampI team and participate and represent PayPal with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., institutional investors, NGOs, corporate peers, global conveners) at meetings, conferences, and events.
  • This position will report to the Director of Corporate Sustainability &amp Impact.

Minimum Qualifications (Requirements):

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental, social, or governance issues, corporate sustainability, or related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree required. (5 years of direct experience will be considered in lieu of Bachelor’s degree).
  • Previous experience working across global teams and influencing outcomes without direct authority.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the landscape and trends in corporate non-financial reporting, global ESG legislation and key stakeholders in the industry.
  • Experience managing or contributing to a corporate ESG/Sustainability/Impact report.
  • Familiarity with ESG frameworks and standards (e.g., SASB, GRI, TCFD, UNGC).
  • Experience responding to investor surveys (e.g., S&ampP Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment, CDP Climate).
  • Strong organizational skills – ability to successfully manage multiple projects/deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to effectively work on a self-directed basis and collaborate remotely using virtual work platforms.
  • Excellent analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel and comfort working with large, complex data sets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator, with an emphasis on corporate report writing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in related field.
  • Experience and knowledge of corporate responsible supply chain practices.
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial data processes and controls.
  • Interest and experience in data measurement, systems and evaluation.

The U.S. national annual pay range for this role is $64000 to $156750
