Compensation:

  • Annual Salary Range: $31,262.40 – $38,896.00

Position Summary &amp Responsibilities:

Position Summary:

This Administrative Assistant position is located at the Salina Office. This position provides clerical support for the Stockroom and District Shop through data entry, filing, and various other assigned duties. The Administrative Assistant also serves as backup to the Storekeeper Specialist.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the work, incumbent may/will be required to work additional hours when needed, including nights and weekends. Work may be extended to 12 hour shifts as deemed necessary during emergency situations for communication activities or for inventory items. Additional hours will be assigned by the supervisor depending upon the needs of the agency.

Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Reviews documentation, codes and enters stock transfers in the inventory system, reconciles all fuel usage, investigates discrepancies, and computes adjustments. This position also maintains a spreadsheet to track orders and receipt of invoices.
  • Serves as backup to the Storekeeper Specialist to issue and receive stock.
  • Provides customer service by filling orders from the window.
  • Performs weekly inventory spot checks to ensure accuracy of stock is maintained.
  • Organizes and cleans the stockroom.
  • Maintains label and filing system for the stockroom.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Six months of experience in general office, clerical, or administrative support work.
  • Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency. Transcripts are required for education to be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Computer experience.
