    We are seeking an individual to fill a full-time Administrative Assistant position in the Transportation Office.

    Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or equivelent coursework in construction, facilities maintanence or accounting and finance helpful but not necessary
    • Proficiency in Microsoft and Google
    • Strong organization and time management skills
    • Attention to detail and ability to work ability
    • A willingness to learn and grow professionally as workplace needs change
    • Experience with dispatching or school bus transportation helpful

    School Description:
    The Transportation Office handles student transporation for Biddeford, Dayton and Acton Schools.

    Brief Job Duties:
    The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:
    • Assist with scheduling of apppointments, meetings and vehicle repairs
    • Communicate with students and parents in a postive and friendly way
    • Maintain compliance for transportation routes and student population records
    • Assist in maintaining accurate drivers files, financial records, process purchase orders including accounts payable and receivables.
    • Coordinate drug screening process for all drivers
    • Support payroll process as needed by verifying time, attendance, and entry

    Criminal History Record Check (CHRC), which includes Fingerprints on file with the Maine Department of Education

    Education:
    • High school diploma or equivelent
    Experience:
    • Proficiency in Microsoft and Google
    • Strong organization and time management skills

    • A willingness to learn and grow professionally as workplace needs change
