Job Summary Perform secretarial and/or office support of moderate difficulty, diversity, scope, depth, and confidentiality to the department and/or professional staff.
Essential Functions Greet and screen office visitors and callers handle routine matters and refer more complex matters to the supervisor or appropriate staff provide basic program or operational information and materials schedule and make arrangements for appointments, meetings, and activities.
Prepare, proof, and process documents for the work unit which may include correspondence, reports, tests, syllabi, course scheduling, process instructor pay forms, and statistical documents. Organize and maintain files and records.

Prepare and process departmental expenditures assist with preparation and maintenance of budget accounts resolve issues related to purchasing, payroll, personnel information and other services process transactions compute and receipt fees.

Order equipment, books, and supplies for classes/workshops/office, and insure timely receipt follow-up on identified problems sort and distribute incoming mail prepare bulk material for processing and distribution.

Plan and organize clerical work activities provide work direction to non-regular, student or work study employees.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent.
One year of clerical or general office experience. (Postsecondary education in any field may substitute for the required experience. Fifteen semester hours are equivalent to 6 months of experience.)
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a professional working relationship with a wide variety of individuals coming from diverse backgrounds.
Knowledge of current software applications.

Desired Qualifications Experience in an educational institution.
Some postsecondary education in a related field.
